Pharus Foundation (Stichting Pharus) was founded by the Mars family in the Netherlands. The family decided to channel a substantial part of the liquidity into a foundation, which could then give the money back to society.
The Latin name Pharus means “lighthouse.” A lighthouse symbolizes light— a beacon in the darkness. It guides you to safe harbor in the wildest storms. A tool for those who need it.
Pharus Foundation works together with a number of strategic partners. From its conviction, the foundation joins forces with these partners to provide sustainable assistance, in order to offer a brighter future to the poor worldwide.
